It looks like the Windows Phone Store has lost another app, this time the ESPN F1 app, which was published in February 2014 and never updated after this.
The official ESPNF1 Windows Phone app delivered Formula One coverage across the globe in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The app offered news, standings, driver positioning during races, and detailed information about teams, drivers, and circuits.
Interestingly the F1 app on Windows Phone was newer than the iOS and Android apps, which date to 2013, suggesting the app was never a great priority to ESPN.
The reason for the disappearance of significant apps from the store remains a mystery, but I suspect contractual issues with Microsoft being behind the problems.
