Kingdom of Saudi Arabia carrier Zain has been the latest to sign up for carrier billing with Microsoft.

Zain Pay will be available for Windows Phone users and will allow them to pay for apps, games and music using their phone credit of monthly bill, all without needing to own a credit card.

Zain is the first carrier in KSA to offer carrier billing, and only the 3rd in the MENA region.

Microsoft currently offers carrier billing on more than 80 carriers worldwide covering a potential 2.5 billion customers and notes that the availability of this feature increases total paid transactions by 8x per month in emerging markets and 3x in developed markets.

The Store also supports a very wide variety of other payment sources including PayPal, Alipay and even Bitcoin.
