Reddit is sometimes responsible for interesting leaks, and the latest is a rumour of a thinner version of the Lumia 830, apparently in testing at an unnamed carrier.
According to the post, now deleted, the device looks just like the Nokia Lumia 830, but is thinner, and sports a camera-like ring instead of the black disc of the Nokia Lumia 830.
The device may also have been running Windows 10, but this was not confirmed.
The leaker claims that this device will not be called the Lumia 835, but that Microsoft is revamping Nokia’s numerical naming scheme into a new schema which would make clear which devices are mid-range, enthusiasts or entry-level.
The leak sounds somewhat plausible, made more so by the post being deleted. Ignoring the device, which is likely on the way with or without this rumour, do our readers think its high time Microsoft got rid of Nokia’s number scheme?
