Microsoft announced the Lumia 830 earlier today at IFA in Berlin as the new affordable flagship Windows Phoney. While we were able to grab some superb photos of the new smartphone from Microsoft, we also managed to shoot some video to really look at what's offered in this latest product.

Paralaksa is a wonderful Windows Phone app that allows you to create lockscreen wallpapers that are based on themes. If you are sporting Windows Phone 8.1, there's no reason you can't use the wallpapers as Start Screen backgrounds as well.
We've tinkered with Paralaksa for the past day or so and while pronouncing the name has given me fits, the app itself comes across as a clean looking, creative way to compose some nifty Windows Phone wallpapers.

Along with the selfie-focused Lumia 730, Microsoft has announced that it will be launching a dedicated Lumia Selfie app, which is now available for download in the Windows Phone Store. This new app is actually the successor of the previously available Glam Me app.

Besides the Lumia 730 and Lumia 735, Microsoft's other big news was the Lumia 830, which they tout as "an affordable flagship smartphone". Putting comparisons aside (it is cheaper than the Galaxy S5 and iPhone 5s), the Lumia 830 brings a lot to the table. Between its thinness (8.5mm), 10 MP PureView camera, Qi wireless charging or 5-inch 720P display, the Lumia 830 has a ton of potential.

Announced today, the Nokia Lumia 730 dual SIM and Lumia 735 are built for Skype users and those who love selfies. It features a 5-megapixel front-facing, wide-angle camera, so you can include more people in the shot, while having image quality that is normally reserved for front-facing cameras. This morning, Microsoft announced the budget-friendly 'selfie' phone aka the Lumia 730 (dual SIM) and Lumia 735 (4G LTE single SIM). Selling for around 200 Euro later this month, the follow up to the Lumia 720 looks to be an impressive and fun Windows Phone.
Shipping with Lumia Denim and Windows Phone 8.1.1, the Lumia 730 features an impressive 5 MP front-facing camera in addition to a 6.7 MP rear camera with an ultra-low F/1.9 aperture. Our hands on video is coming up soon, but for now you can check out our photos!
'Hey Cortana!' brings passive-listening to Windows Phone this fall for a hands-free experience

Berlin, Germany – Invoking Cortana on Windows Phone is a straightforward affair with a single button press of the Search key (or swipe-down on the HTC One for Windows with Dot View case). However, newer technology found on the Xbox Kinect and some other Android devices is making the jump to Windows Phone: passive voice activation.
Arriving later this fall with the newly announced 'Lumia Denim' firmware update, some Lumias are getting the hands-free feature named 'Hey Cortana.' Users with smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 80x chipsets, like the Lumia 930, Lumia Icon, and Lumia 1520 can all take advantage of the Cortana extension.

Berlin, Germany – Microsoft this morning announced the Lumia 830, a new Windows Phone with a high-end camera that's being marketed as "the affordable flagship." This new phone combines the best of Lumia with the latest from Microsoft. You'll get a 10 MP PureView camera with Zeiss optics, integrated wireless charging, and more with the Lumia 830. Look for the Lumia 830 to begin rolling out globally this month and with a price around €330 ($433 USD) before taxes and subsidies.

Berlin, Germany – Microsoft this morning announced the budget-conscious Nokia Lumia 730 and Lumia 735 along with its 5 MP front-facing camera for the 'selfie generation' and Skype users. The phone is expected to go on sale in the coming weeks for €199 ($262 USD) along with 3G dual SIM support ideal for emerging markets. The Lumia 735 with 4G LTE and single SIM will run for €219 ($288 USD). By comparison, the original Lumia 720 cost around €249 on its initial launch.
The Lumia 730 is the follow up to the popular Lumia 720, which featured an impressive F/1.9 aperture camera for exceptional low-light performance. The Lumia 730, however, builds off of the Lumia 720's weaknesses by adding in 1 GB of RAM, a faster 1.2 GHz Quad-core processor and a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 HD display.
