Samsung releases new ATIV Clock app ahead of Windows Phone 8.1 updates
9/19/2014 5:45:30 PM
Samsung so far has been mum on the update to Windows Phone 8.1, with not a single handset worldwide getting the OS refresh, including Verizon's recent high-end ATIV SE, which seems built for 8.1.
If there were any doubt of Samsung's commitment, even if it is half-hearted, users can now put their worries aside as the Korean company has a new app on the store dubbed ATIV Clock. Ironically, it is only for Windows Phone 8.1, as the new OS gives developers the ability to update the Live Tile in real-time.

Static IP option finally arrives in a new update for a few Lumia phones
9/19/2014 3:34:05 PM
A new firmware update for the Lumia 625, Lumia 925 and Lumia 525 started to roll out just over a week ago for a few users and with it came a small, but useful feature: static IP. The ability to set one's particular internet gateway and IP details is something nuanced, but essential for some users on various networks. Windows Phone's ability to support static IPs is as far as we know dependent upon the phone manufacturer as the OS itself does not have this baked in.
The firmware itself is slight, coming in at just 18 MB. It bumps the revision number from 1425.0002 to 1425.0003 on most devices, bringing the new static IP option, network+ option and some bug fixes, according to reader of the site Vinod K.

Incredible Toys - battle to save the Toy World with this Windows Phone game
9/19/2014 12:21:22 PM
Incredible Toys is a Windows Phone action/adventure game where you help a collection of toy heroes survive a journey through Toy World. Game play is along the lines of an action runner game with some RPG features. Graphics are nice with a slight children's storybook feel. I will say while gaming controls are simple, they can be a little stubborn at times.
Incredible Toys is not available for low-memory devices (not sure why) and while Incredible Toys has appeal, I'm not sure if it's strong enough to be a go-to title for your gaming library.
