A long time Microsoft employee and developer, Raymond Chen, has named the company's former CEO Steve Ballmer as the man responsible for writing the text that is seen in the tragically familiar "Blue Screen of Death" that was seen in old school versions of Windows.

With the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie doing fairly well (although this lifelong fan didn't bother to see it) and new episodes of the latest animated series airing on Nickleodeon, the Ninja Turtles have really returned to the public limelight once again. This would be a great time to announce an Xbox One TMNT game, but we're not quite that lucky.
Fhotoroom app (almost) reaches 5 million downloads and gets new update

Update In a response to our inquiry if Fhotoroom had indeed reached the 5 million download mark for Windows Phone, they got back to us on Twitter by saying, "Just about, mostly like end of this month ... at the time shared it was for both WP and Win. That number has grown a fair bit. Metric are always moving target." The message added that an upcoming Windows Pbone 8.1 update "coming very soon will help" it reach that milestone.
Original story: Fhotoroom, the popular Windows Phone photography app, has not only released a new update today, but the folks behind it posted word on its store download page that the app has now exceeded 5 million downloads. Fhotoroom broke the 4 million download mark in May.
