Microsoft layoffs allegedly happening tomorrow, will be largest in company history

It was last Thursday that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella sent a companywide memo. In a letter to employees, Satya Nadella laid out the plans for the company including organizational changes. Many took that to be the code words for upcoming layoffs. He avoided questions the next day about any pending layoffs, but a few days later Bloomberg reported that Microsoft was set to lay off a large amount of staff as part of organizational changes. New info out today suggests those cuts are coming tomorrow morning and will primarily impact those from the Nokia acquisition.
Xbox One sales doubled for the month of June

The Xbox One has had a rough start, but things have been turning around for the console over the past few months. The new $399 offering was expected to help move units and it certainly looks to have done just that. Microsoft has just announced that Xbox One Sales more than doubled during the month of June.

Microsoft is changing up how developers get resources for Windows Phone and Windows 8. In fact, they're actually merging developer resources for Windows and Windows Phone. That's not all, they're adding twenty one new payout markets and highlighting the new Kinect for Windows 2.0 SDK. Details on all changes below.

A long time ago there was this Adolf Hitler guy, and it turns out he was history's biggest jerk. As a result, many people have fantasized about going back in time and killing the punk off before he got into everybody's business. Lots of videogames take place during World War II, but they don't let players kill little Adolf due to some notion called historical accuracy.
Still, the Sniper Elite games aren't afraid to put Hitler behind the cross-hairs. Sniper Elite V2 offered a DLC called "Assassinate The Führer," and now Sniper Elite III follows up with the sequel mission called "Hunt the Grey Wolf." Yes, players can kill Hitler all over again in Sniper Elite III – this time in balmy North Africa! The "Hunt the Grey Wolf" DLC is $7.99 on Xbox One and Xbox 360. Angry Monkey Run, a Windows Phone with potential but still a little work is needed

Angry Monkey Run is another endless runner gaming option for Windows Phone 8. The game has simple mechanics, nice graphics and can be a little on the frustrating side as far as game challenge is concerned.
The story behind the game has the monkey's girlfriend being snatched up by zookeepers that does not sit well with the monkey. Your job is to guide him through the jungle to save his girlfriend.
Angry Monkey is available for low-memory devices and isn't a terrible game. The game has potential but Angry Monkey seems to lack the pop other endless runner options have.
Cortana showing a stock chart is a nice touch on Windows Phone 8.1

Cortana is still technically in beta for users on Windows Phone 8.1. She's also still technically only available in the United States (though she recently did begin speaking Chinese. Over the past few days there have been a few subtle changes with how Cortana handles stock information.
DirecTV NFL SundayTicket.TV on Xbox requires no satellite dish

In a bold move supporting cord cutters, satellite provider DirecTV is allowing users to stream NFL Sunday Ticket games to their personal devices without requiring a satellite dish in the process. Streaming will work on Microsoft's Xbox console as well as compatible Android phones and tablets and Apple's iPhone and iPad.
