Turning your Windows Phone into a surveillance camera with Gotya

Gotya is an interesting app that hopes to turn your Windows Phone camera into a remote controlled, motion activated surveillance camera. You can set your front or rear camera to take pictures when a motion area is breached. Images can be saved locally or to Gotya's Cloud Service.
There are a few additional bells and whistles with Gotya that add to the app's appeal but the motion detection can be a little on the sensitive side. The app, which is available for 512MB devices, has potential and a little fine-tuning will help Gotya shine a little brighter in the Windows Phone Store.

Microsoft's flagship Windows Phone, the Lumia 930, is making its way to multiple regions. We're sure you're sick and tired of reading about which countries will be able to purchase the Windows Phone soon, but we have just one more for you, targeting those Down Under. If you simply cannot wait to get one for yourself, Optus will be the first Australian carrier to stock and offer the Lumia 930 on July 11, while both Telstra and Vodafone will follow on the 15th and 16th respectively.

The July update for Microsoft's Xbox One video game console is set to roll out in the coming days, according to both Major Nelsen and the Xbox One update history page. This July update, as we previously covered, contains a bunch of new features to further enhance the user experience, including a Snap mode for Xbox Live achievements.

Lumia 930 available in New Zealand for $750

The Lumia 930 is currently listed for $749.99 at MobiCity, with three colored variants reported to be in stock. Vodafone has previously stated the mobile operator is looking to launch the Windows Phone in the region this month, grabbing exclusivity on the handset. Should you wish to purchase the device outright and not be locked into a contract (or with an operator), options like MobiCity are ideal.
