On Friday, Microsoft released the first beta of their Live Lock Screen app for Windows Phone 8.1. One of the neat aspects of the app is the ability to use custom wallpapers. Although adding your own image is in and of itself not groundbreaking, the prospects of creating images that leverage the unique clock designs is certainly enticing.
In our forums, some Photoshop enthusiasts are hard at work creating numerous backgrounds for the different clocks. A few members are posting the bare image plus the after shot to show how it looks in action on the Live Lock Screen, and there are a few gems that you may want to grab.
Kitty in the Box slides into Windows Phone immediately after iOS launch

Ready for another challenging game that is hard to put away? If you said yes, you should check out Kitty in the Box. Originally released for iOS earlier this month, it has also just been released for Windows Phone. It looks really cute and simple, but it's not as easy as you think.

Microsoft has announced the Games with Gold for August for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Xbox Live Gold subscribers will have access to Crimson Dragon and Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut on the Xbox One, while Motocross Madness and Dishonored will be available to gamers on the Xbox 360.
Microsoft wants people to 'Meet Cortana' on new Windows Phone page

Hilton Worldwide Holdings is prepping for a major technology update in its 4,200 hotel locations that could allow customers to do things such as open their hotel rooms with a smartphone app as early as 2015.
