AT&T / T-Mobile Lumia 635 plus Fitbit Flex starting at $149 at Microsoft Stores

In case you missed it, Fitbit launched their long awaited tracker app for Windows Phone 8.1 today. The app is already earning a 4.5 (out of 5) rating on the Store, with many customers pleased with the release.
In case you are new to Fitbit, and you need a new Windows Phone, the Microsoft Store is running a stellar deal. Starting at $149, you can grab both the Lumia 635 (AT&T black or T-Mobile white) and a brand new Fitbit Flex (black or slate). Those are no-contract prices too, although the T-Mobile package is priced slightly higher at $178.95.

Verizon to get HTC One (W8) for Windows Phone on August 21

Reports that HTC would be reconfiguring their popular Android based One M8 for Windows Phone have been circulating for months with Verizon as the flag bearer, but details of the device – and release – are now coming into focus. Tonight, Engadget is reporting that the name of the phone is called "One (M8) for Windows," which is a little awkward, although if you drop the M8 it has a nice ring to it.
Engadget reports that they phone should launch by on "Verizon during the third quarter, or no later than the end of September" although our sources tell us that Microsoft Stores have a planning date of August 20 with a launch on the 21st. The off-contract, full price of the phone is listed at $610 with on-contract price most likely nearing $199. The name is also confirmed as "One (M8) for Windows" according to documents we have seen.

Our favorite second-CEO of Microsoft Steve Ballmer has just been cleared to buy the Los Angeles Clippers. They're the professional basketball team that Ballmer has been trying to buy for $2 billion. Former owner, Donald Sterling, has prevented the sale with a lawsuit. Today a judge has ruled against Sterling and Ballmer is cleared to buy the Clippers.

Cortana asking for feedback to get better

Cortana isn't a Windows Phone 8.1 feature that stays stagnant. It's one feature that Microsoft can continually update and improve on the backend without the user needing to update any software. Today we see reports of Microsoft soliciting feedback through Cortana.
