Wacom has released a new app for Windows 8.1 called Bamboo Paper, designed to turn tablets like the Surface Pro 3 into something resembling a paper notebook. Wacom is also offering some freebies with the release of the app.

There are numerous apps available in the Windows Phone Store to help customize your lockscreen. Awesome Picture Quotes (formerly known as Wallpaper Quotes) is one of the newer offerings that delivers picture quotes for your lockscreen. The quotes are often accompanied by a inspirational photo or drawing as well.
Available for low-memory devices, the interface is simple (maybe too simple) and the collection does have some nice looking images with inspirational quotes. Awesome Picture Quotes is a nice foundation for a lockscreen app. has a slight level of appeal but could use a little polishing.

Microsoft announced last week they will slowly shut down their Xbox Entertainment Studios division, but at the moment it's still in operation. Now a employee at XES, Shane Small, has revealed hints about what the group is doing to add interactive elements to its now original television shows.
Kami's Nightmare, endlessly falling from your Windows Phone (or Windows 8 device)

Have you ever had a nightmare where you endlessly fall? Well, that's the premise of the Windows Phone and Windows game Kami's Nightmare.
Kami is sound asleep and is dreaming of floating away on a bundle of balloons. Suddenly Kami's grip slips and she begins here endless fall. Along the way she has to avoid several evil stuffed animals that want to end her journey.
Available for low-memory Windows Phones, there are a few bugs with Kami's Nightmare that need to be ironed out. However, for the most part the game is a casual but challenging game for both Windows Phone and Windows 8 devices.
Verizon's second quarter profits soar, highest recorded revenue in six quarters

Verizon has posted its second quarter earnings, which saw the carrier accruing a double-digit percentage increase in operating income and earnings per share. Over the course of the quarter, Verizon has managed to add 1.4 million new postpaid wireless subscribers, up from 941,000 over the same period last year.

Earlier this morning we took a look at a YouTube video showing off what an app could achieve when tapping into Windows Phone 8.1 to offer more advanced lockscreens. This app, called Animated LockScreen Preview, is what the YouTube video was demonstrating and it's available right now for you to download. It's not a fully functional app (since the APIs haven't been released yet), but is a solid demo of what's to come.

Eagerly awaiting the launch of the Lumia 930 in India? We have some bad news for you, as it looks like Microsoft is delaying the launch of the device in the country. The Lumia 930 has been delisted from Nokia's Indian website, and at this stage there is no information as to when the device will be available in the country.
