Microsoft is set to hit RTM (Release to Manufacturers) with Windows 8.1 Update 2 sometime this week, that's if the rumor from WZOR is anything to go by. It's believed Microsoft is planning to announce the Update 2 at the company's Worldwide Partner Conference this July. It would make sense for Redmond to unveil the next update for its desktop OS to an audience containing main manufacturing partners.

Microsoft has confirmed that the Nokia Lumia 930 will go on sale July 10 in both Denmark and Sweden, joining the previously revealed Scandinavian country of Norway for the launch of the latest Windows Phone 8.1 device.

When Microsoft revised its Xbox One shared games policy ahead of the launch of the console last year, one of the features that was left out was family sharing. However, it looks like the feature, which allows gamers to share titles with up to 10 family members, may be introduced in a future update, according to the head of Xbox Phil Spencer.

As previously reported, Hisense today announced a new Windows Phone, titled the MIRA 6. The MIRA 6 is China Telecom's first Windows Phone 8.1 mobile device, featuring dual-SIM support, quad-core Qualcomm processor and other interesting specifications. Running Windows Phone 8.1, the first Windows Phone from Hisense is a surprising move since neither the manufacturer nor Microsoft mentioned any partnership.

Dhoom:3 The Game was launched last year around the time of Dhoom:3 release, the third movie in the popular Bollywood franchise. The endless runner game involved a thrilling high speed bike race through the streets of Chicago where the movie was set.

The Game became quite popular, and crossed the 1 million downloads mark on the Windows Phone Store in quick time becoming the first app/game from India to do so. The game saw over 12 million downloads worldwide across platforms. 99games, the publisher of the game, and Yash Raj Films, the producer of the movie, have got together again to bring a sequel to the blockbuster game – Dhoom:3 Jet Speed.








 

Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition – Xbox One review

On Sunday I predicted that Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition would arrive on Xbox One this week. And what do you know? The Another World Anniversary Edition has just been released as part of Microsoft's ID@Xbox program. It comes from French publisher The Digital Lounge and is available to download for the low price of $7.99.

Another World is a classic sci-fi adventure game/platformer set on a perilous alien world. Players will forge a friendship with a kindly alien while doing their best to escape from the planet's more hostile residents. The 20th Anniversary Edition brings the story to life with new high resolution graphics, multiple soundtracks, and easy Achievements. Adventure fans and Achievement hunters won't want to miss it.

Microsoft shows off the #SustainableLumia 1520 in green with recycled back cover

Microsoft has released a new teaser for the Nokia Lumia 1520, the largest Windows Phone available to date. The video runs the viewer through the troubled life of the DVD, which is being replaced by cloud-hosted digital content and streaming. Towards the closing frames, it's shown how DVDs can be recycled as opposed to dumped, which brings us onto the Lumia 1520's recycled back cover. Not only that, but it's the bright green variant.
