Blue Skies has quickly captured the collective heart of the Windows Phone community. It's a beautiful weather app that is also functional and useful. We've been loving it for the past two months and are quite pleased with the solid and regular updates. Today we're getting another update to Blue Skies that adds caching and offline support, plus so much more.

Location Finder is a popular Windows Phone app that will find, save and share your current location. The app can come in handy if you need to remember where you parked your car or need to share your location with friends/family visiting from out of town.
The app recently received two updates of the past few days, ultimately taking Location Finder to version 2.7.1. The first update added transparent tiles and street view capabilities to Location Finder's list of features. The most recent update fixes issues surrounding OneDrive back-up/restore features.

Sprint has announced a new trial program for their network. Sprint will be giving a full refund to customers who aren't satisfied with their Sprint service within the first 30 days. Specifically, Sprint will refund customers the cost of the device, and all activation and service fees will be waived.

Scribd (scribd.com) claims to be the world's largest digital library with over 80 million users. The service features a subscription available for a monthly fee of $8.99 that allows readers unlimited access to more than 400,000 books from over 900 publishers, including Harper Collins, RosettaBooks, and Workman as well as New York Times bestsellers and literary classics.
Scribd also is the world's largest digital document collection, with millions of user-uploaded documents and written works. While the app has been available for iOS and Android for long, the official Scribd app has finally arrived for the Windows platform – as a Universal app for both Windows Phone and Windows 8.

Microsoft has updated two of their Nokia Software Development Kits, the Nokia Imaging SDK, as well as the Lumia SensorCore SDK. The Imaging SDK has been updated to version 1.2, while the SensorCore SDK has come out of private beta, and into developer beta.

The U.S. Microsoft Store is now taking pre-orders for both the AT&T and T-Mobile versions of the Nokia Lumia 635, although there is no word on when they will ship out to people who decide to put their money down now on one of the first Windows Phone 8.1 devices.

UK government to make mobile operators share towers to boost signal in rural areas

UK mobile operators could be made to share networks in rural areas where signal is weak, under plans to provide better services to consumers from all network operators. Ministers have put forward the plan to prevent situations where only one or two major operators are available in certain parts of the country, providing consumers with more choice as to who they wish to hold a contract with. This is before the UK (and EU in general) look at 5G in years to come.
